GAYVN InterNext Expo 2014 Info is Online

Presented by AVN online and sponsored by PussyCash and numerous other programs the GAYVN InterNext Expo will be January 11-14 2014 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will run concurrent with the AVN Internext Expo and features networking, entertainment and educational events targeting the LGBT community. The GFY Awards ceremony will be held that same weekend. Admission to the Awards presentation is free to any one registered for the InterNext Expo.

Note: Nominee submission is over for GFY 2014 Awards, and voting will begin on Dec. 2, 2013

I wonder how many GWWers I will be seeing at Internext this weekend?

I'm looking forward to it! I went to Euro Summit in Prague in Sept 2011, when I was in Prague, and London XBiz in Sept 2012, when I was in London. I was also at one show here in Las Vegas in Summer 2008.

In other words, I go to shows when the shows are where I am traveling.

It is interesting seeing the faces behind the business.

I went to InterNext again today.

Got some quality 1-1 time with some very cute Reps.

Other than the guy with the big shoes from Saturday.

I wish InterNext had been in a bigger room, so the noise could have been dampened. It was really tough hearing people.

Seeing was another subject! Lots of cute guys.

Internext was a mixed bag for me. Honestly, I had a great time because of the people I was around, but it didn't live up to it's promises.
There were supposed to be gay "hook up" parties from 2 AM to 5 AM every night. Koloff from Alternadudes and I went looking for this party. It was listed in two different locations (in the guide and in the map on the elevator). It wasn't in either. When I asked the guy who ran the panels, he said that the person in charge didn't show up. Then he said they were having a party that night. I asked if it would be in the place and at the time it was listed in the book. He said, No. That it would probably be more around 11. I asked where and how I would find out. He said he wasn't sure and I should just check with him if I see him later.
So, yeah, the gay end was pretty half-assed. The panels were great though. Except they had one called "Gay versus Straight: What's the Difference?" but they changed it to "Seminar: Hitting a Home Run in Gay: Covering All the Bases." But the original title made me wonder if the whole thing was just for showing straight people how to make money off of gay porn.

There was supposed to be a gay lounge throughout the event. Here's what the lounge looked like:

I go to bed at 11pm, so I went for the Trade Show on Saturday, and went home at 5pm.

I didn't go on Sunday, which was a HUGE mistake. I had the free pass for the entire run of the show, and there were seminars I could have attended.

I did go back Monday afternoon, and went to the Cam seminar, and spoke 1:1 with important people, in a much quieter and more relaxed atmosphere than Saturday.

Got to let important people know that I now am a Certified English Teacher!

I did read the brochure about the late night parties, but was skeptical. I have no clue what all the attendees did after 5pm, but I, too, didn't see any signs of any organized events.

I also am not sure if I totally missed the GAYVN set up, or if it, too, was just something on paper.
