Mine do and they were supportive of me and dad even asks for passwords to some of the sites i know about

So how about your family do they know what you do for a living?

Half the family know and accept what I do in respect to both jobs I hold down, the other half know but choose not to either praise or attack me because of it.

I guess it just comes with the territory.

My sister Storm and I work together...

My other sister is very non-supportive and doesn't want to hear a thing about what I do.

My 70 year old mother says she sees it as my way of giving the world the finger.
She'd like to see me make money doing something else...but, she's ok with it all.

Dad's bisexual and left mum for a man (sadly) but he and I aren't really on speaking terms at present.

My twin sister is a born again christian (fundamentalist) and doesn't talk to me because of the gay issue - she wouldn't approve of my work.

My parents know. I finally felt that I needed to tell them because after I lost my last job, I wasn't looking for a new one. I didn't want them to think I was a lay-about.

Their reaction was, "Is it legal?"

I know they don't really like it, but they've learned with me that it's better to pretend that it's okay because I don't take any crap. So now, we do what we always do, we don't talk about it.

My family knows and I have no trouble telling anyone what I do. My husband tells everyone he works with and it makes him a player because of the work I do!! At first, I was telling everyone I was working on the technical side of running websites(hosting). Then, when I worked for Steve Entertainment Group(Thanks Steve Sweet!!), I would say I worked in the film production arena for the internet.

Now, I just say I work in the adult online industry. I have loved the jobs I have been fortunate enough to have in this industry and I LOVE the people I have worked with and have come to call my friends.

The only people I have NOT told were my new neighbors here in ATL that are Jehovah Witnesses. They are really cool, but I didn't want to offend them, or have them 'stopping' by for no reason at all....

My partents are mind-bent control-freaks who have tried to plan every aspect of my life... to no avail... and I really enjoyed telling them.

My mother's first reaction was "You're going to get arrested for that", which was pretty much the same thing she said when I told her I had gotten a job doing remixes for EMI artists. Why one could get arrested for remixing a song, I'm not sure.

My sister is one of these anti-porn feminazi types who spends half of her time complaining about how men are pigs, and the other half of her time complaining that she's almost 40 and still single. She isn't clever enough, however, to connect those dots.

Only five people in my family know. The rest we'd like to keep in the dark for happiness's sake.

My mom and dad know. Mom was thrilled my grammer had improved that much. Dad has been collecting adult stuff for ages and it seems to run in his family. So I can always blame genetics, mom does occationally.

All of my dad's brothers know too. My Uncle Jeff is so proud of me. We are the rebels of the family and he's happy I've found work I enjoy so much. Uncle Jim is gay so he's all for more gay porn. And Uncle Patrick is like my older brother so he's cool about.

My grandparents and my mom's brother and wife do NOT know about my work. Its best that way considering I'm the "little angel" of my grandparent's life. My Uncle Bo and his wife are kinda religious so for respectfulness I dun tell him. My could is only 8 so she won't be told for a VERY long time.

I can't keep a secret, everyone knows what I do. My mom even works for me, doing all the billing and bookeeping =)

Dad, he doesn't like it, but he's proud of me for taking over my own life in something that I'm very successful in. We do talk about work...just how it's going, no details. My Uncle (who is almost 60) is now studying the porn business and getting ready to reap the rewards =)
