The Susbscription Business model is in its dying days

I have the feeling that in the near future one will bypass the subscription style website, no memberships, in stead what you might get is an al la carte purchase just like with Amazon. You like a hot boy from a certain movie click on the pay button and you are good, stream or download, no user id or password. This is probably better suited for my friends that have Erotica and non X, the X companies will still go on a little longer and offer memberships, but I would recommend finding an alternative. The thought of $25.95 being deducted automatically from your account can seem, to some, a nag. Intrusive. With a recurring subscription the member has to be in the "mood" at least once and act on it, and not everyone is.

I am struggling with this problem now.

Hi Toby,

I think you make a very good point. There was a time that it was "natural" to join porn sites and put down your credit card info etc, and if you forgot to stop your membership, no big deal. BUT NOW, the surfers on the net are much more in tune to what's happening, how it happens, and what they can and cannot do. Besides the fact there are TONS of free porn already available for them, why should they join, say a twink site, when only a couple of guys in specific appeals to them. They don't even know that they will be able to download movies with their favs in them (even though they might be on the tour pages).

Instead of a grand buffet of "all you can eat" for 29.99 (a month), porn people are starting to diet and are becoming more and more pickey/choosey on what they "get" from the dining table. They have begun to watch their "waste lines" so to speak.

Mansized - Exactly Let's face it everybody is hurting a bit from this shrinking world, from Sean Cody down to the less known guys, and there are so many reasons to it most are right on the surface for the whole world to see, its not a mystery. so looking for fixes is a no brainer.
