Brand spanking new to the biz, just created MormonGirlz.com

    Hello friends!

I've just moved from porn watcher to porn maker. I'm an ex-mormon lesbian and I'm making a really niche site. Wish me luck! I'd love any feedback / tips for hitting the ground running.

Also I realize that my content is girl / girl (although mormonboyz.com isn't!) and my audience might be straight dudes, but still I feel like y'all are my people. If I should really be posting on another forum, I'd love any input on where is good.

    Many thanks!

Extending a warm welcome to you, mormongirlz.

The forum is for anyone working in, producing, or marketing gay porn, so I'd say yes, you're in the right place, technically. There are some lesbians that do post here (including me) and some of us do have "erotica for women" and "erotica for lesbians" ie: real dyke porn. You say you'll probably end up with mostly a straight male audience, but that also depends on just how your content is presented. Is it solo, group and/or female couples, are the models lesbian, is your approach typical of most "lesbian" sites for men (femmes with long nails and always smiling for the camera), or is it more along the lines of videos from Pink and White Productions, Crash Pad Series, GoodDykePorn, etc?

I appreciate the distinctions you're making here, Bec. We are using a mix of lesbian and bi girls, and the emphasis is always on authentic sex and real orgasms. Even so, I think that because we aren't branding ourselves as dyke porn but rather as mormon / religious porn, our audience might lean toward straight men. I have really have no idea, though. We'll see! In any case, I'm glad you think I'm in the right place. I like it here.

I like it here too, and I've moderated GWW for something like 9 - 10 years now and consider it a home away from home, but unfortunately, most of the membership here are also members on another gay webmaster board: www.gaydemon.biz It's a long story, but for various reasons, the community of gay market webmasters have essentially abandoned this forum... Too much hassle to read both boards, see the same questions, and answer everything twice.

I'm not saying don't post here, (and you are certainly welcome to join Gaydemon.... I'm a moderator there too~!) but if you are hoping for a lot of new posts to read and feedback, I'm afraid that will "not be happening" here. What IS here is a tremendous volume of older tutorials and a whole lot of marketing know how. Use the advanced search to find just about any information you're curious about.

GWW is now basically a library of years and years of gay marketing information.... and there are a lot of webmasters "lurking" in the bushes, so there is a large readership base, just not very active ones.

I do enjoy stimulating conversation and your niche is certainly unique, and I do want to hear how things turn out for you with it.

Are you involved with MormonBoyz too?

If you know who is, those same SEO suggestions apply. Also, on the boyz webmaster signup page it says: "Why should you sign up? We have unique, high-quality content, featuring an enormous collection of hot, young girls." ...Might want to ask them to edit that to say boys, not girls ~!

There are many, many fewer webmasters and other personalities than just a few years ago.

Here, there, and other places, people pop up for a few weeks, then go away.

In the long run, you will find credible and valid information here.
