    No Referrers - Log Question

    Hi all,

I hear people talking about bookmarked traffic and I'm wondering how they're seeing this in their logs. How is it labelled? Every day I have a lot of traffic that is labelled as "no referrer" is that my bookmarked traffic?

I use WebLogExpert, btw, to analyze my stats.

    Thanks

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

Bookmarked traffic can be analysed differently from program to program however, your best bet is that if something has no referring url and / or an entry page of '/' that is a high chance of a bookmarked visitor in my experience.

"no referrer" can also mean type-in traffic.

it could also mean they are surfing through a proxy, a firewall or an anonymity program that strips out referrer info.

    cheers,
