When and if you promote them?
I can honestly say in the past i have never really had much luck with them
Anyone know what some of the better webcam programs to promote are and, more importantly, anyone want to share some tips on promoting webcam based sites?

Well, our webcam stuff does very well on membership sites. People that lease it seem pretty happy. From listing to them they tell me it's one of the top watched feeds on their sites.
As for promoting them, I had some luck with it. However, I did not do much TGP stuff with it. I know those webcam sites do convert pretty well in yahoo groups. What I did to test it out was create a special affilate link, and hotlink the pictures that I sent out in the email. (It was an ebmeded html email) One email would have about 500 clicks and 3-7 conversons.
I also get a lot of joins for our site from people that lease content from us. Some accounts do not have the sound option, or see people in the chats talking about video clips. Another thing that also does well is having preview clips for people to see what is goign on inside the site.
They sell, but it takes a lot more traffic now. Expecially with the free yahoo cams, MSN cams, ect. They can watch them there for free.
You'll get more with a kind word and a 2 by 4 then you'll get with just a kind word.

I never look at webcam sites as a surfer. Most of them are too boring.

I find there are almost no webcam sites that are good and geared toward the gay market. I wish there was! So far the best I have found is click cash, at $40 per signup it pays well and since its a free signup it converts pretty well too, even on TGP traffic!
