how does one find video encoding work?

i have a friend who has been doing all the encoding for my paysites and some other sites. he wants to find more work encoding. he's been doing this: taking avi's or minidv's - creating full length wmv's and wmv and mpg clips in both high and low band.

are there webmaster boards for this kind of work? his prices are reasonable, but i don't know where to send him.

id say have him post here & on the other boards. there are always people looking for someone to do grunt work like that.

Yea, I agree -- have him hit the better adult boards and put up a little ad in the spam forums for starters. And tell him that actually making posts and answering vid editing questions will help get his name seen and folk would be more apt to hire him.

In addition to the other info in this thread have them throw up a basic page about their skills and get it added into Dmoz their editing category doesnt have to many decent listings in it
