Video Clips

Hi,
I need some help with putting together some vid clips for my affiliates. Can you give me some info on size? Bec suggested I make like 10 15 sec. clips.

For affiliates on Stud Money we give out no longer than 10-15 seconds so thats what i would use to be honest

In my opinion, you should provide them with MPEGs. The company that I work for, we provide a 60 second mpeg clip that the affilliate can edit, as well as six(6) 10 second clips made from the same 60 second clip. Alot of MGPs require or prefer MPEG, and for those that don't, the affilliate can easily convert the MPEGs to WMV before they submit. Also, RealPlayer is pretty much outdated, so I wouldn't even bother with that format.

Oh, important note: File size is just as important as file length. The optimum file size for the 60 second clip is 6mb, and the optimum size for the 10 second clips is 1mb.

what sort of software would one use to chop up the 60 second clip
into whatever size the webmaster wanted ??

and - does anyone know what audio software would be used
to take some audio files that are currently in the RealPlayer
format and change them into more popular formats... ??

When I give away "free clips" I made them 20 to 30 seconds. They do pretty well, but make sure to watermark them or you'll be on all kinds of sites. I forgot to watermark a few clips once, and ended up inside the members area of some vivo men site. (i forget the name of it.)

Something else you can do is design some type of player and stream the videos yourself. You can use an active x controle to stream them in MP. (Realplayer can do the same thing.) That way you still have controle of the clips, but your program members can still use them on their sites.

letting the program member host the clips themself. If you do it yourself the way I was talking about, there would be programming costs, costs for graphics, and bandwidth. these can mount up on you quickly if you are not careful.

It depends on your bank role, and how much controle you really want to have over where your content is show at.

With the new rules for 2257, it might almost be worth it in the long run to do the plug-in delievery. So the models contact info isn't spread all over the net.

that's a great point (benefit) to having plug-in content
to circumvent 2257 hassels... - - - seems as though
then - there would be ALLOT of the same old same old
repeat Plug-In content from sponsor to sponsor...
