Bureaucracy

You know, sometimes bureaucracy is a bitch. I work part time at my university and I've been there since August.

We get paid on the 15th and 30th/31st of each month. However, I didn't get paid for this last cycle. It turns out that my department forgot to file a form to register me as an employee for the new fiscal year, so rather than anyone in payroll telling me, they just didn't pay me.

So to get it fixed out department had to do my form along with a memo requesting my paycheck. Then I had to walk it across campus to 8 different offices in different buildings for signatures.

Sorry for venting, but that wasn't fun in 96 degree weather. Urgh.

See i would have taken a cab from building to building then invoiced it to them LOL
