Our site isn't even up yet, and I just spoke to our credit card processor who said that we should have a back up plan in case Visa/MC decides we are too explicit. Does anyone have a recommendation for a backup to process Visa/MC?

well, it wont become a nonissue. nov 2 wont change shit, in my opinion.
as for ur site... if ur processor is already warning u that ur site might be too explicit, maybe u should take a look at it. ive never heard of a processor telling u to have a backup plan. so either they think its too close to the line, or ur rep is just an idiot.

You know, I agree with Dale on this one. I know that they will not approve something that has the words BOY, or TEEN. WE have some names that we can not make sites with because of that.
That would be the only other thing I could think of, unless you have some really naughty content! :specs:

Well I know that when we tried to us the name boysofbrazil.com they told us "No that they would not approve any names with the word boy."
I didn't talk to them myself, so may have been more to it then that. However, that was the just of what they said.

The site is an Ebay type auction site, and none of the graphics we're using are explicit, but our policy is to allow explicit pictures in the auction ads as long as it complies with current laws (no under age pictures).
It seems to me that the graphics won't be any more explicit than any other adult site.
I guess what I'm really asking is if anyone can refer me to a credit card processor that does allow explict adult content.
Well yes, but in other adult sites the x rated images are normally protected by CC billing or some type of password system.

it sounds like you are using a mainstream biller who is concerned about anything to do with adult, get in touch with ccbill or ibill, both are adult processors and even though they may charge a bit more % for their service, at least you know they will not shut you down.

Everyone, thank you for your input. I have definitely done everything I could to comply with the request not to be explicit; none of the public areas have complete nudity, in order to not only list an item for sale, but view items, you must be registered. Registration includes age verification. But, other than restrictions related to 2257, I am unwilling to put any restrictions as to ad content. We need to be competitive.
I do think the card card processor is an idiot. And, my goal in posting here, was to find an alternative processor. I think, with AndyMike's help, I may have already do so.

In addition to credit cards, we are able to accept e-checks. But, it isn't practical to not be able to accept credit cards, there are too many people that would go someplace else.
