Men's Underwear as an additional revenue source

Here's a question for all of you webmasters out there.

How many of you have actually considered promoting mainstream items - with a slightly sexy slant on your websites like ozunderwear.com

Just a thought that this could be an additional untapped stream of revenue that a lot of webmasters ignore.

    Your thoughts would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Allan

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

You know i can see underwear sales being really good on gay sites.

Not only do the surfers get to see porn models in their undies but they can also own a pair themselves

    Regards,

    Lee

So, Allan, when are you going to model some of them for me?

I think gay men are always buying cute underwear, or all the one's I know. There is a huge following for it also. (models in just underwear, non-nude)
You'll get more with a kind word and a 2 by 4 then you'll get with just a kind word.

    Howdy Allan

I have thought about creating an underwear site numerous times. So much to do so little time. Also I'm kind of picky, and one thing that has held me back is the lack of really good underwear to market. However, International Male and Undergear are on Linkshare - which would be a viable option. And of course Amazon sells the typical CK and 2xist stuff through its apparel store. (which is for sale anyways at my local brick and mortar deptartment stores).

As someone who trips between adult and non-adult sites, I'll point out that you need to "firewall" your underwear store away from your adult sites. Most Terms of Agreement disallow affiliates on porn or gambling sites. So be sure to work around that.

Hey desslock, thanks for the advice

The sites are owned by two different companies, hosted with two different companies and have different whois info except for the po box address

The limit to the connection between the sites is the odd link to the underwear site - I see this as harmless - and it makes good sales, with no links back to any of the adult sites I have

Thanks for everyones thoughts so far.

    Cheers,

    Allan

Have you heard about the vending machines in Asia that stock used girls undies? I think this is a huge thing in the straight world, its just that they prefer their undies not-so-new!

    cheers,

Oh the delicious possiblities that come to mind...

Machines with Bel Ami boy's used undies,

Instead of coke and pepsi machines it'll be Calven Klein and Tommy Hilfinger going head to head.. or maybe Lee will (censored due to I wanna stay alive & keep out of trouble):joker:

i would promote men's underwear if the store i sent my traffic to had no traffic leaks - no men's personal links, no link list links, no links that i didn't get a percentage on sales from. in fact, seems like a neat idea!

I would consider promoting your site. I haven't had a lot of luck with products. I was promoting Extreme Restraints for a while, and I made a bit of money. I even have a branded store with them, but I just don't see much in the way of sales. I'm not sure why and perhaps underwear would be different. I'd give it a shot.

    Hey Dzine,

Sorry, just to clarify what I said in my first post, I wasn't saying that you should promote my site Just was interested in getting feedback from people about promoting mainstream items.

    Cheers,

    Allan

    Check out my friend's site

    http://un-der-wear.com/

It's a pretty busy site, and he has affiliate programs from everywhere.
