Hey everyone,
I thought I would post more about my back condition since quite a few people ask and since I am having my final 2 back surgeries this week. I will try to keep this as short as possible.
At 12 I became paralyzed from an avm malformation of the spinal cord. I was told my 3 seperate doctors tell me I would never walk again. I was flown to NY for emergency surgery on a flight for life jet, 15k one way, . That was back in 86, crazy expensive. In NY they fed tubes up my spine and cut off as much blood flow to the malformation as possible. After surgery I was able to move my legs some. I went through therapy and was able to get out of my wheelchair completly. About 9 years ago I had to have back surgery again and I had some microscopic swelling which caused me to be on cruthes. I had another surgery last year but my condition has been deteriorating since. So this week I am having 2 back surgeries, the first one is the normal surgery I had last year where they feed the tubes up the spinal cord to cut off blood flow. The 2nd surgery they are actually going to remove this malformation of my spinal cord. This will be my last back surgery and will hopefully make things better so I can walk again like I used to. I will be in Phoenix at the Barrow Institute for surgery, Patrick from CCBill lives there and you can contact him if you want to know how I am doing.
It was great seeing everyone in Florida. Next time I see you guys I hope to be jumping around, hehe. I will post here after my surgeries to let everyone know how things went.
