Hi everyone...
Happy to report I woke up today to find evac orders lifted the power back on in my area (Miami-Dade) and the sun shining. Anxious to get back home but I did speak to the condo office to find we have electricity again in South Beach and my complex had very minimal damage. I can't wait to get back home today!

I chatted with Jigg as Frances was headed our way and he was boarded up and hunkered down too.

I know the area's more North of Miami received the brunt of the storm and will likely to be without power for awhile yet...approz 5 million homes are still dark.

Other Fl wm's or as you hear from other Fl residents of the community, please let us know you are safe.

Seriously, hope everyone in FLA is fine and well and that the "storm" (looked a damn site worse than just a bloodt storm on TV I tell ya!) didn't do you guys and gals personally any personal or property harm.

we're alive, thank god i thought this thing would never end, at least we were in between apartments and buildings and not getting blastes head on like some neighbors. only trees down in the area here. hopefully Gary and Lee and the doggies aren't going to find too much damage

That's great news. I hope the rest of you returning home in Florida are as lucky. On the news today, the weather actually looks nice now.

Well we made it to Georgia fine in fact, we made it here in less than 3 hours :thumbsup:

Should hopefully be coming home tomorrow early afternoon / late morning and will assess any damage that has been caused by Frances.

From what we can tell Daytona got hit pretty hard so we dont know what to expect yet although thankfully mom + dads place hasnt had to much damage done to it from what we can gather from their neighbors.

Anyway figured i would post and let you all know we got here safely and will should be back home sometime tomorrow afternoon

well things were pretty boring in my area. had some steady and gusting winds for a while saturday nite & sunday... still getting some gusts today on monday... but it hasnt rained in a while, and the rain we did get was just steady hard rain. my patio furniture isnt blow away, trees look normal, and there are kids out playing in the street.

i think things got pretty weak before they hit me.

now if only the cable company would get my cable back on... ugh... i swear, if it sprinkles, the cable goes out. i never did lose power. and cable only went out today, the day when things are very very calm... wtf...

I am glad everyone is ok. I have never experienced anything like a hurricane but it must be pretty scary. I could not imagine leaving home knowing the possibility a hurricane is coming and home may not be there anymore when I get back. If you guys need anything at all let me know.

I made it! Didn't drown or blow away. The wind riped down the top of the patio in the backyard, but everything else was fine.

Now I just need to find a str8 boy to clean up the mess without his shirt. :angel:
