paid feeds with upsells...

what do u think about this?

for example, if i spend $$ per month on a video feed, and that feed one day ads a link to their online video store... should i get a commission?

ive noticed a lot of feeds doing this lately, and im starting to get a little annoyed, but maybe im just being greedy?

Personally, if i was paying a couple of hundred bucks a month for a feed and the company started to filter my pre-qualified, credit card wielding paysite members to their own store i would do two things..

1) Cancel the feeds immediately.
2) Bill them for traffic that they stole.

So no, i dont think it is just you

that is utter bullshit! if i wanted a feed that sold things to my members, i would AT LEAST expect to get the feed for free. more likely, i'd expect a commission. but i'd rather not annoy my rebilling members with bullshit - and would be VERY pissed to find feeds were doing this without mentioning it to me.

please do tell - what feeds are doing this?

Why would you pay for feeds that steal your traffic and don't give you credit?

I would like to know which ones are doing this because any accounts we have would get the big cancel.

some of the largest feeds do this... am i the only one who's noticed it... generally its just a link or ad to their video store... not like theyre sending it off to another paysite, but still... im not sure how i feel about it.

im tempted to list the ones ive found here, but i dont want to be an asshole...

I don't see any links to video stores on AEBN feeds.

you can have upsell on aebn content, but you get your share if your member pays. you can also elect to have the upsell turned off.
