Just a reminder...
Use .htaccess to disable hotlinking. Yesterday club1069.topfong.com, topfong.com, tt1069.com, and some other similar sites hotlinked a load of images from some of my galleries.
Luckily, I had bandwidth throttling enabled for the domain they hotlinked, so once the transfer reached a certain point the domain was automatically taken down and I was e-mailed by my host.
If I hadn't caught this, it looks like I'd be facing a minimum of $250 in overage charges.

Damn hon - that suxs! Glad they were able to shut it down before you had to hock the house!

Do be careful, though, as their are a lot
of really bad "anti-hotlink" script and
.htaccess recipes out there. The other
day one of our webmasters was chewing up
50% of a 2800Mhz processor by using a silly
redundant .htacess. For more info:

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?
You know what WOULD be cool is everyone could post a list of the URLs of known hotlinkers in this thread so we could all just add them to a .htaccess file.
Of course, making sure you put a .htaccess in your root domain is always going to be the best option to cut your bandwidth costs however, for some this isnt always possible.

Lee

Ok, I have a list of 25,000 here.
I hope you have a server with 1,000 P4 3600 processors
in it because for evey hit, every image, thumbnail, etc.,
the server has to check the whole list.
