How many of you have been in a published photoshoot? If so, did you find it liberating? Embarrasing? Was it erotic or just work?

My webcam site is going to feature me AND my bf. We each have our own menu, webcam, etc. He has cystic acne that he's had for years now. He has some scars from it, and active cists (sic?) too, it's really hard for him to be comfortable with himself nude because they have left scars on his butt cheeks that look like big bruises, and he still has a couple of them on his balls and neck. I want the experience to be positive for him and help him feel more comfortable with his body, and who knows maybe we'll make enough money to get him a good dermatoligist and get rid of them. Then if I can just help him remove the scars it will just be a bad memory for him. He's been on acutane (TONS of horrid side effects) and antibiotics and everything else awful, I have to help him get rid of this problem! One way or another, i'm gonna do it! I WILL get to my Edina stage eventually, and I need him there to be my Patsy .

will your personal webcam site have an affiliate program ??

will you have the pay option for viewers
to pay per performance, or per minute if they aren't a member of your site ??

will you be doing phone chat with the webcam performances ??

will you have a regualr schedule of shows or be doing it just whenever you feel like it ??

make a button and banner to promote you site and slap it up here... with the url...

I wish you success on your project and I'll see what I can do on occassion to give your site a bit of a boost...

As far as I know I will have an affiliate program. I'm trying but I've been out of the loop for a while, so I don't know what is best anymore. I think I'm going to try ccbill and verotel together.

It won't be payperminute or anything like that. Non members will get a slow refresh guestcam with chat. The site is more hobby and having something to do than profit oriented so I don't want any features that require me to be nude at any set time.

As far as phone with cam, I don't know. Is that a good idea?

I will be on every day, but i'm not sure about a schedule. The cam will be on more often that not, so a schedule would be tedious.

I'm going to launch the site within the next day or two, and i'll put up my buttons then, and thank you for offering your help that is really sweet of you; i don't know how traffic will go or how hard it will be to get yet, so i'm worried about it. It seems like at most of the camsites i've visited the chatrooms are mostly dead, and the toplists dont have nearly the votes in they did when I had my old site. hopefully personal amateur sites are still at least somewhat lucrative.

I ran a home web cam site for a couple of years...very erotic, liberating, and fun for many months. It can be an ego rush (a mixed blessing). And the pressure to perform is difficult at times.

It's been at least a year since I have talked to any of the "home" webcam guys, but I agree that it's tougher to make money at it these days...I remember GWW discussed this issue a few months ago. I just checked Jasbits.com guy adult cams toplist...Jasbits has not reset the list in over a year, my old webcam is still on the list (thanks Jasbits!)

The good thing about home webcams is they are very personal...that really attracts the surfers and keeps the guys coming back to your site. And that's also what's difficult; that personal relationship means a lot of chatting which is time consuming.

IF your bf is comfortable with it, the scars are a real marketing point for those who have a scar fetish. You could look for some gay scar groups or web sites. Hey, he may like having some guys adore him for having the scars.

Keeping the cam on as often as possible is great (even if you're just working.)

You can use personal profiles as marketing tools. Set 'em up at Yahoo and ICQ, and other places where gay guys look for hook ups. Setting up an egroup (Yahoo is popular) is another marketing tool that works well for a home web cam site.

Phone with cam? Sounds like a great idea to me if you can charge enough...don't know best way to do that.

I think scheduling a couple of shows a week would be a good idea for starters...they don't have to be regular times, but announce in advance. (Unless you horndogs get it on daily on cam!)

Do you plan to put your pics and perhaps some videos of yourselves up in your members' section?

Thanks Fister! I had no idea there was such a thing as a scar fetish. Were you fistercam? I remember that name. That sucks about Jasbits, i was counting on them for some traffic.

My webcam will be on for at least a few hours every day, so I shouldn't have too many people complaining about us not being on enough, but some people are never happy.

I actually can't wait till I get to the promotion phase, this is one case where i'd rather be building the traffic than the website. using all the profile sites is an awesome idea, thank you.

As far as videos; my digital camera is cheap, it won't take very long ones but I can still try. I really wish I could afford a hosting option that allowed for streaming video and audio.

I'll definately post the url, it should be operational today.

I posed for BearBound.com once, mainly because a friend of mine was running the site and I wanted to do it as a favor to him, but also because I sell content, I thought it would be cool to see what it would be like to be content. I wasn't naked, just because we shot in a public place. Now, I'm a big guy, 5'8", 190-200 lbs, and while I find other bigger guys hot, I've never ever thought of myself as being hot. But knowing that guys were going to be seeing those pics and totally getting off on it made me feel really sexy, and that was nice.

Yes, I was FisterCam...still using the URL by the way. Jasbits still sends me traffic, so do check out Jasbits. The adult male cams toplist just never gets reset, so votes have been accumulating for over a year :wtf:

Jay what about also starting your own site LIKE the Jasbits.com site - if you are disappointed that they don't update very often - I'll bet my boots that others are as disappointed about that as you are...and maybe you can pick up traffic /trades that way...

there are free traffic trade top lists scripts out there...

there might be some gay webcam web rings you could join...

and on your yahoogroups list - if you start one - be sure to let me know so I can post to it to tease pups to you so the list isn't too dead at the start... you can post to other yahoogroups with your new list in your sig. to get traffic to come join your list also...

you can offer your yahoogroups members a free 2 min show once a week or something like that - that will help get the word around about your list and get you allot of members to your list so you can promote your webcam project AND any othe project or sponsor promo that you want to promote on your own yahoogroups list... since it is a double opt in - it's not considered spam (wink)

oh and like fister said there very well may be gays guys into SCARS - so do a separate yahoogroups list for him

and look into Body Modifications keyword sources to get him some specific traffic

when your cam isn't on you could provide a slow slide show of previous shows screen caps as long as you clearly identify that to your viewers so they don't think you are trying to pull something over on them...

and continually add screen caps to the rotation each week so that in and of itself will be a bookmarkable treat for your pups...
