Thanks for the input so far, but I am not shopping for artists, I want to get feedback to pass on to THIS artist.

Before the thread gets off-topic, here is what I want to know:

-Does it represent the right niche?
-Despite YOUR personal taste, will it appeal to the target audience?

I'm not fond of it. He's too hairy and I think his face looks a bit more cowish than bearish.

I took the survey. I agree with Dzinerbear that the face does not look enough like a bear. I like the overall idea; human body & bear head. The hair would fit the concept better if it was only curly hair on the chest, and straight hair in other areas.

I like the bald knees... it's looks like he spends a lot of time on his knees.

However, the face does look 'cowish' and it needs to be in color.

Marc overall i actually do like it however, i would agree that the head seems more fitting to a 'cow' than a bear.

This mascot isn't very fun. He's just kinda... blah.

I like the humanoid bear with muscles concept though.

If I could draw here's what I'd do...

Muscle bear facing straight... he's slightly leaning forward with his right leg out past his left and holding a barbell... arms somewhat bent and the barbell is near his waist and away from body... barbell possibly bent on both sides from so much weight... instead of an expected cringing look on his face, he's got a "hey there, sexy" look.

Could even take it once step further and have him holding the bar with his right hand and grabbing his crotch with his left hand.

I dunno... looks good in my head.
