    Good Shit newbie checking in

    Hi y'all,
Bec's a good friend of mine & clued me into this awesome board. I'm just getting my feet wet when it comes to web design, etc. But with a friend like Bec I'm sure to grow quickly. Experimented on my own with Front Page several years back(http://members.aol.com/cassavant/index.htm) but am looking at doing more professional pages now. Just took a class in HTML 4.01 and completing a class in Dreamweaver this next week. Thought I'd hang out here for a while to learn the ropes. Gotta know 'how' to tie & untie 'em before I get myself all tangled up! Hopefully I'll get good enough that maybe Bec will hire me on as one of her assistants!
    I'm a butch... but a friendly one.

Did they teach you CSS with it?

The W3C has a hardon over CSS, so I was just wondering if schools were following these days.

As a matter of fact they did. Intially just internal, then externally defined. We spent a whole week on CSS. We 'could' have had an entire class devoted JUST to CSS, but a week was all we got. As a old-time programmer in RPG where we used externally defined report layouts, CSS fit right into what I already knew. Also reminded me a lot of VB.Net where parent pages can pass down attributes to children.
