    Oh yeah...

    I'm back from Vancouver
Came in to the office bright and early today (well actually dark... sun's yet to come up and I've been here since 6am) to catch up on stuff that was left undone while I was away.

Vancouver was fantastic. I fell in love with the town. I wish I had some cool pics to show you all but it seems I never really got around to pulling out the digital camera and being touristy.

For those of you that know Vancouver, I stayed at a hotel right smack dab in the middle of Granville on the West End downtown. Awesome location, cool hotel (Howard Johnsons - great rates and great rooms! Who knew?!).

I walked all over downtown and everywhere my feet could carry me, hopping on the skytrain when I wanted to go farther, faster. Me being clueless and blond (in spirit) it wasn't 'til my 3rd day that I was sitting on the skytrain and looked over at some hot (and super nice and polite!) Canadian boys across the aisle from me and said in an astonished tone "Whoa... hey there's no one driving this thing, is there?!" (Vancouver's skytrain is completely automated, with no drivers on the trains and everything controlled by computers from a control station).

They got a kick outta the dumb American there.

Hit up a few of the clubs, met some hotties. Even ran in to super twink porn star Brent Everett while there! Yay!

Never made it out to Victoria, which I'd hoped to do. But that'll be taken care of next time I go up there - and there will definitely be a next time.

What totally made me fall in love with Vancouver was just how nice everyone was. You know when you're at a club and you see some super duper hot guy that you introduce yourself to and they turn out to be a total asshole? That never happened there. Everyone I met and hung out with was amazingly friendly and made me feel right at home and like a long lost friend right away. It was icing on the cake that they were all so friggin' cute, as well.

Alas, glad to be back home and back to work. Missed you all!

Vancouver is a GREAT city - though way to far north of the Mason Dixon line for me to venture after Labor Day!

Missed you BD - glad to have u back!

    Hey Harlan!

Yeah it is pretty far up north! hehe.
That was evident in how cool it was the entire time. Never got over 65f, although there were a few sunny days while there. Fair amount of rain too. Ah, the NW.

I think I'm going to have to put a Vancouver webmaster event on my list of things to do, just for sake of gettin back up there

    Thanks, Bec!
Last week or so (possibly even the week before?) I got a couple IMs from you I think. But they went to my cellphone instead so I didn't see what they were. Hope they weren't too important! . I only just remember them today hehe. Hit me up on AIM again if ya needed something and it's not too late.

I love Vancouver. Beautiful city, and the people are really cool. They can be a bit uptight about being laid back, bu that just kind of adds to their charm.

It's awfully slow-paced, though. After about four days there, I start to get all squirly-neurotic.

And there actually IS an intersection down town that has a Starbucks on all four corners.

    Isn't that fucked up?

haha I totally saw that corner and was like "ok what the fuck"

I didn't do starbucks while there. I went local and got my coffee from Tim Horton's and Blenz (sp?)

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?
