Ok I had a whole post written out about Christopher Reeves but instead I'll take the high road, give my condolences, and leave it at that.

Fox news scews things so radically. Christopher Reeves doesn't even look like the picture in the first post. Here is a real photo of him

What horrible news.

Christopher Reeve was such a great inspiration to many including myself. I even started reading one of his books "Nothing Is Impossible". Even though he did not acheive his dream he moved so many people which is even more powerful and I am sure one day his dream will come true for others. Please take a moment for Christopher.

I had to bump this for Christopher. I have been having a hard time with him passing. I used to be paralyzed also but just from the waist down. I couldn't imagine being a quadapalegic. I think where 90% of people would give up he kept hope and kept trying. I admire him so much and for what he did after his accident. He had so much hope to walk again and I really wanted him to one day achieve that. I think he had the same hope I did when I was paralyzed and had 3 doctors say I would never walk again. I did not realise he died from a really bad pressure sore. These are preventable and having 3 full time nurses I don't understand why he died from something preventable like that. I know it got really bad but maybe he was so dedicated he just kept going, which makes me even more sad.

I did not realise he died from a really bad pressure sore. These are preventable and having 3 full time nurses I don't understand why he died from something preventable like that.

I was also surprised to hear how he died. Those are definately treatable and I can't imagine his heathcare staff allowing something like that to go untreated.

They did a bio on him on tv - did you know that he managed to raise over 47 million dollars for spine research? That just amazes me.
