Top or bottom? (for recip link you pervs :)

im getting webmaster submissions where people would put the recip aaaaal the way down under a gallery past 10 rows of content.

Where should recip links be you think? top bottom or versatile?

See thats a complex question to answer..

On the one hand, as a gallery builder, you want to put your recips near the top of the page with a banner on the bottom however...

As a TGP owner, you want to have recips on the bottom of the gallery page because the likelyhood is, the last thing on a page a surfer sees, they will click.. especially if its offering 'More Free Porn' and animated

Good question -- I was wondering the same thing a few weeks back when I was building some galleries. By a funny coincidence I went to cumsoda, clicked on a few links to see how everyone else was doing it... I saw that everyone was putting their recips at the top.
So, I thought "Oh, OK -- TGP owners like to see their recips at the top. Don't want to pee them off and go against the grain, I'll do that too. " haha how's that for assumptions?

i have always put them on the top and have never had a gallery rejected for the recip location....quite a few TGPs state in their rules that their recips should be on the top and not buried at the bottom where no one will see them.

my problems is that im running other people's link lists and i think both ways as webmaster building and webmaster approving links.

we get so much crappy sites, and then i'd get a gallery or a site with good ccontent, ok design and they'd bury the link who knows where, or they'd put just 1 recip link (us) on a cloned page.

As a tgp owner, I don't let the location of the recip decide if it gets listed or not. Most do come at the top, but that doesn't mean it gets accepted simply based on this. As a matter of fact, I decline way more with the recip at the top, than at the bottom.

Like already stated, though... some sites have rules that require they be at the top, so always check the rules of each site.
