What Non-Adult Stuff Do You Do?

I was reading a post over on Oprano about mainstream projects that various people had going on and one of the comments made, i beleive by CJ, was that the mainstream train had been and gone, do you think this is true?

What do you think mainstream is going to hold within the next 1-3 years? More importantly, do you think that with a lot of adult orientated webmasters entering the mainstream internet business model, that this is going to make affiliate fraud a higher occurence in mainstream than it is now?

    Your thoughts on this?

    Regards,

    Lee

i think, like porn, people will always want to buy books, airline tickets, other peoples junk via auction, online. I know that personally, I but a lot of things online and it has just become standard practice. So I think to say the mainstream train has come and gone is foolish. It is supply and demand, as always. If you have a product people want and you can sucessfully market it, then do it.

I am actually working on some non-adult projects. I don't always want to be in the adult business, but I love the internet. So I'm sure that I will be working in it for a long while.
You'll get more with a kind word and a 2 by 4 then you'll get with just a kind word.

I own a screen printing business. I do not do it as a full time job .. We usually just do it for trades.
We traded 1000 printed tshirts for a $6000 hot tub! We traded tshirts for internext tickets and VIP party tickets at the Florida Internext.... we like to do trades

Other than that we run www.deeprub.com it is a free escort site and I just started working for ClickMeMedia and I am really enjoying it.

I sell Ancient Roman coins...yup, a passion of mine since I found a very rare coin in a lot of unclean coins I bought. It was worth $400.00...and that was 1 coin out of 2000 coins!!!
I bought the lot for $1,600.00 Many are worth $10.00+ and few are worth less...

Plus, the history is wonderful to explore! (The bling can be better)

So, the question is, do I stick with that, orrrrr stay in the adult industry, oooor go mainstream or what?

Damn, if only there were a few more days in the week, I'd do it all!
    LOL

So, I've decided now that Bush has won...it's in my best interest to explore more and more into the coins and mainstream (i.e. my personals site + my passion of Roman Coins)

I'll always continue to be a "General Contractor" (building houses), except I'm getting far to damn old for that shit...and after I get done with my own house that I'm building, I plan on only building a couple more...that's it!

From there, it's my hope and dreams I'll leave the US to a much better place!

All my websites are pretty much extensions of things that happen to interest me. If you are interested in any kind of mainstream subject, then pursue it! If you enjoy it, it will show and you will be successful.

Since I was in college I always was interested in gay porn movies, so it just made since that I do a site about it.

One of my first unfinished projects was a website about science fiction television shows. I still have a bunch of directories of info, written episode guides and data on Doctor Who, The Prisoner and Blake's 7 just sitting there. Maybe one day I'll go back to that.

My big site is a cooking website that I run with my mom. I've considered doing a website about movie film scores and Stanley Kubrick movies, but I dunno. My next mainstream site is going to be another site that promotes a specific line of colllectible china utilizing eBay's aff program.

One of my goals in December is to fill out a website that I have about jucing and healthy eating. I also intend to add more reviews to my non-fiction political book site.

Rainbo1956 - I think that your interest in ancient coins would be a potential boon. I wish I knew enough about coins to do something like that. I wrote a news page on one of my sites about the Texas quarter that was released a few months ago, along with an eBay page showing all the Texas quarter auctions. I get a couple of bid referrals every month.

I've also been considering building another adult site about people infatuated with cum.

    Steve
