IMHO running 4 banner exchanges and a text exchange the best advice i can offer you is.. dont

Seriously they are more trouble than they are worth put quite simply

What's a banner exchange script? Is that like a ad server rotation script (PhpAds)?

It's like Maleswap.com, you put code of your site that throws a banner up every time someone visits the page, you earn credits for every impression, when you've earned enough credits your banner is shown elsewhere.
