Dude a straight guy that has the balls to go by "thetwink" on a Gay board is alright by me :-D

In the world of porn it seems slang terms have no boundaries, whether a breeder, homboy, thug, or queer.

Part of seeing someone as a sexual object, for many, is objectifying them, and making them less real and more capable of fulfilling their fantasies. :high:

Prejudice and discrimination can only come from those with power over others. If you believe that any gay person can have power over a straight person, just review all of the recent legislation that has been passed that restrict the rights of gay citizens... then tell me who has the power!

As for the term 'breeder', it can also refer to the top in a bareback scene... and that is not considered a derogatory word at all.

so what if I am a straight white male? Like it's my fault how I was born? umm, no. Personally, your reply is typical of the way someone can make me feel discrimination. Why discount how I feel just because you have these pre-conceived notions that all straight white males lost their rights to feel discriminated against? Just because I am a straight white male, I'm not allowed to feel this way? Thanks.

I made none of these laws you speak of.

In my opinion, just because someone is prejudice towards anyone for anything, does not automatically give that person power. Therefore, it does not take someone having power over me for me to feel discrimination.

The original post asked if a word was offensive, and I simply stated that I found it offensive, and feel discrimination often from gay men. End of story. No need to psycho-anaylize my statement, nor any need to display just the type of behaviour that I was thinking of when I wrote my reply to the original poster.

Definition of discrimination: Treatment or consideration based on class or category rather than individual merit; partiality or prejudice.

As a member of the Gay community I respect how you feel and hope I don't play a role in your feeling uncomfortable or discriminated against around here.

From what I've been told, everyone is welcome on GWW, but I'm pretty new here and have been surprised lately at the outrageous things some people spew, aparently for no reason other then to cause drama or lash out. Being the straight guy you might be seen as a vent for some peoples anger, instead of the individual you are.

Forgive me for having been unclear. I meant, in no way, to imply that you were looking for either. My statement should have been more direct and to-the-point...let me re-phrase:

We certainly know how you feel.

I am sympathetic toward discrimination in many forms, for many reasons. In the past, I admit I have gone through my own phases of self-pity. Those are phases are defeatist and serve to further the cause of those who discriminate, which is why I caution against them now. That's really all I was trying to do. Perhaps I took too much liberty in offering advice there. Advice, as I was poignantly reminded recently, is often more beneficial for the person giving it.

"Advice is a form of nostalgia. Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts, and recycling it for more than it's worth."
