How do you determine your marketing $

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've got limited amounts of money that I can spend on marketing my sites.

But, of course, you get what you pay for, so if your site or button is one of the 20 that are flashing at the bottom of someone's page, are you going to be found? Or clicked?

So, how do you make your site stand out? You probably pay someone to give you a better position.

I was looking at all kinds of sites last night and it really is a "pig fuck" for the lack of a better word.

What are some of the things you do to determine where you're actually going to spend some money on your site?

We usually spend 5% of what revenue comes in each month for 'marketing' purposes.

Of course, for us marketing is a lot easier to do than many because we have a wide base of existing webmaster traffic.

I think ultimately for most it is going to depend on how much you want to spend to market your site and, more importantly, if you feel the site requires marketing or negates it.

I guess what I was more getting at was how do you determine that ABC Link List or XYZ TGP or MNLOP Banner Place is the best buy for your money.

In a world where everyone claims to an 8-inch cock, it's kind of hard to take people at their word.

How do you double-check that your paid advertising on another website is actually a good investment?

i create an affiliate account for myself that is called hunkhunter or google. that way, i know how many sales and rebills each site sells.

i'd still rather buy a text spot than banner. it's a rare banner that outsends and outsells a well-written text link.

So, basschick, you buy a text advertisement directly for your sponsor using your special affiliate code, such as hunkhunter, google, etc?

i have bought ads directly for my sponsors, and also for my paysites. i have done this mostly with google adwords, search123, a little with sex.com and hunkhunter.

many affiliates also offer banner tracking, so you'll know which sales come from what traffic source.

there are also search engines where you can buy an annual listing for around $100. of course, the better your pages are optimized, the higher the ranking - but you can keep improving your pages to raise your listings.
