So When Do Your Christmas Decorations Go Up?

Im thinking we'll be waiting until around the 20th before we even think about putting ours up LOL

I'm lazy with that kinda shit.
And finally some time around July I found myself sitting in my apartment, looking at my Christmas decorations and thinking "Well... it's a shorter amount of time between now and upcoming Christmas than it is between now and last Christmas... so I might as well just keep them up!"

there's a house on my street that has so many christmas decorations, you can't see the house... including 13 Santas. One of which is life-size, animatronic, and sings songs. I hit it with a rock last year.

normally the weekend after Thanksgiving is when I would have done mine - but I have to go out of town for a short bit this weekend...

so it will be next weekend for decorating...

Here in Australia they don't have Thanksgiving to buffer the Christmas holiday so lights here went up as early as November 1 and Christmas stuff was on sale in the store then as well.

All of my neighbors have had their fake Christmas trees up with full on lights since around November 1 as well. Could you imagine a Christmas tree in your living room for 2 months with those damn blinking lights?

My mother always told me that it was bad luck to put up the decorations before 1 December.

I love my mother (actually fear her wrath more to the point), so it will be next weekend.
