Actually Larry looked pretty 'butch' with his new goatee, i cant help but wonder if that was done deliberatly for the show to show his 'butch' side or not.

It actually doesnt suit him imho though. Although, i guess im used to seeing Chi Chi in her full outfits and not dressed like a guy.

I got a giggle out of the part where it was talking about the Butch/Lesbian porn. When the one chick called the other one Lollipop I about lost it. That sounded so fake to me.. it may be real lingo but it sounded like they should start singing "on the good ship lipop" to me.

Overall I thought it was an interesting portrayal of the porn industry. I was surprised at the actors that were making so much more money for gay work though than straight. I never knew that the price tag was that much higher.

You know that was the thing that actually pissed Gary and I off about the show.. it portrayed it like that but the reality is, they dont actually make that much more than their straight counterparts unless.. they are working for some of the large multi-million companies.

Im sure a lot of guys saw that and will be interested in modelling now they think all gay actors get paid between $3000 and $50,000 per scene.

I'm glad to hear that Lee. From my experience I had never heard of that kind of salary difference but wasn't that up on the actual salaries. I guess perhaps they just interviewed some of the lucky few that did make more than standard. Although I must say that the one guy (can't remember his name at the moment) with the really deep voice was completely cracking me up. It reminded me of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch commercials where the guy sitting at the table is giving a blow by blow of the cereal in this deep voice and then his wife basically tells him to shut up. I think I would laugh if I was getting heated up and someone opened their mouth to talk dirty to me and their voice was that deep and smooth

Haha yeah Jeff Stryker REALLY had to work hard to get his 50k salary for that one movie.

What was more suprising though was in the last 20 or so years, he really hasnt changed looks wise at all.

Yea, I saw that show on HBO too. It was ok I guess. It glossed over the industry with a broad brush though but they only had 30 minutes allotted to broadcast. And gee, I now know of a male adult performer than allegedly earned $50k for one gay vid. Some of the other statistics they reported in that feature were a little skewed in my opinion.

Gee, Larry did a relatively decent job in the interview. ChiChi is a nightmare on set shouting so much during live mic. The poor editors have to really work hard at fixing the sound match and dub over the loud mouth director so viewers can hear the performers in the finished video product. Oh if they only plan to just run a music track over the action scenes then it doesn’t matter much.

Kudos to HBO for having the balls to air such a show.
