Whats the difference between 'pantyhose' and 'stockings'?

Having never worn either im lost but i know there is a difference

I gotta say for the most part, they both look the same to me :high:

pantyhose have material between the legs... stockings do not - they do not cover the crotch, and usually are held up by a garterbelt or garters. sometimes they have a built in band at the top, but with stockings, they only come up to your thighs. pantyhose come up to your waste, and are shaped like clear pants with feet *grin*

Okay based on what i just learnt..

Is there any way to tell [without looking at the crotch area] if a woman is wearing pantyhose or stocking?

For example, i have a set that just shows the hemline of a skirt and its obvious the model in question is wearing one or the other LOL

Is the surfer going to know just by 'looking' at the models legs?

most women call pantyhose nylons. some women call both stockings and pantyhose nylons.
