    Whats a good camera?

I am looking to get myself a new camera since I will be shooting all these new videos and need a new still camera for boxcover art and galleries. I use the Nikon 5700 and I hate it. It's not user friendly at all.
Does anyone have a good suggestion? I am not a pro photographer so need something that is really easy yet takes great photos and good enough for boxcovers.
I was looking at the Canon Digital Rebel and The Powershot Pro.

Thanks so much for any suggestions!

    Buck

I have the Olympus c5050... and love it. Very easy to use. And it pratically does everything for you. One of my best buy this year.

, Hmmm..."What To Wear..Err..Shoot With Today"? , Like My Wardrobe (I Just Love Spandex , So Light And Easy To Wash!I Have Camera's That I Use For Certain Shoots (I Haven't Found An "All In One" Yet , Or At Least One That Didn't Take A "NASA" Technician To Explain The Workings) This Is Probably Something Your Going To Have To "Test" Yourself To Find "What Works Best For You"
I'm A Dinosaur (I Actually Still Use Some Of My "Old"(Film) Olympus's And Nikkon's) And When I Run Into A Camera That Works Best For Me I Usually Hang On To It Till It "Falls-Apart" Or No Longer Serves It's Purpose (Sorta'Like Some People!
At Present My Camera's Of Choice Are "Sony"(Photo)And "JVC"(Video)
Though I Am "In The Market" For Something Which Captures "Action" Alittle More "Clearly" Without The "Digital-Fuzz" (I Personally Think
This Problem Is Still Being "Worked-Out" , Until Then I Will Just Have To Use My "Ole'Camcorder" And Transfer To "Digital")

    Sincerely ~ "Behind His Time!"

I've used the Canon 10D for the last few years and I really like it a lot. I've shot Nikon film cameras for the last 13 years but switched to Canon digital a few years back. The canon lenses are crystal clear and fast!

Here's a good pic that demonstrates how sharp and clear the Canon lenses are. I shot this on "medium size" and compressed it for the internet. Other than that...it's straight out of the camera.

I think the Canon Rebel would be a great camera for what your talking about!

I still shoot on film I use a Nikon N90s - that being said I like the Nikon D2X and D2H and the D1X - the main reason is all my AF lens for my N90S work with the D1 and D2 - "but" they are not cheap - I also like the Cannon EOS 1D markII - Both of these cameras offer SLR type of shots as well as they both use their film counter parts AF lens and accessories which if your a professional makes all the differance in the world

I like the sony line but I can't offer an in formed opionion so I will stick with my choices
