How Do You Feel About Promoting Herbal Products?

Just wondered what you all thought about promoting herbal enhancement products such as penis pills, breast growth, herbal viagra etc etc?

Have you ever promoted them and, if so, how did they perform for you?

If you havent promoted them, why not? Was it a business decision or did you just not trust the products?

    Regards,

    Lee

Well I have looked at some of that stuff, and I was not impressed. One of my websites is a healthy eating and living website - www.betterjuice.com - which is a subject that I've followed with interest for awhile.

One of my rules is that if I wouldn't buy it, how can I sell it myself....

But there is a lot of interesting stuff out there to talk about and promote. People spend a lot of money of looking good/feeling good. Atkins products sell and sell and sell. (like the feaux candy bars)

I would be really reluctant to sell herbal viagra. I tried it I think twice and it gave me an upset stomach. I would do my customers a favor and sell the real deal. There are a lot of interesting affiliate programs for that.

I know a lot of adult sites do the "bluepenispill.com" programs - if I would do that I would look at some full-fledged online pharmacies. I remember from some surfing research last Spring finding a few Canadian pharmacy sites that had interesting affilaite programs. I bookmarked one that looked good - some weird name - unfortunately my bookmarks file vanished over the Summer in an upgrade.

I made a conscious decision not to sell this stuff. First, I wasn't sure what kind of liability there is if someone takes this stuff and grows a penis out of their forehead or something.

Then later, there's been so much in the media about Canadian pharmacies shipping so much product to the U.S. that I figure it's only a matter of time before someone shuts down that little loophole. I didn't want to get used to some coin just to have it taken away.

To be honest, I've never trusted any herbal drugs after a friend OD'd on Herbal Speed in the early 90s... The sales guy said it was totally safe, and my friend was in REALLY bad shape after taking just over the suggested dose.

So no, the last thing I want to do is put myself anywhere in a loop that could cause someone any kind of allerigc reaction, heart attack or penis growing from forehead.

I think they're right up there with promoting the Brooklyn Bridge and Florida Swamp land.

In a only slightly related note, I read today that Walmart was fined for selling those electrical muscle stimulators as machines which would give you washboard abs without exercising. Not only is that false advertising, you need a prescription for the devices.
