Have You Ever Done A Training Course Online?

Im looking at a couple of training courses for some software applications and programming languages and wondered if anyone had actually used any of the online courses and, if so, did they help you at all?

Right now im thinking about doing an online php and photoshop course over a period of 3 months and was looking to see what you folks thought of these courses overall.

Is it better to do an online course or, would you opt to go to a local college or something to learn these new skills?

i've taken various courses online both in college and just for the hell of it. the upside is that you work at your own pace, and at any time you want. the downside is that there isn't an instructor available at all times to ask questions and you have to really discipline yourself to get the work done.
