This is my first post. Am I the only lesbian site owner here? I don't know. But I hope I will be welcome. I actually came here specifically to ask this question:

I have had some correspondence with a male model who poses nude for gay magazines. He says he is straight. I have no problem believing that - why not? he has the right kind of body for it.
But he also says that although he doesn't do gay hardcore there are straight men who do. That's anal, oral, facials the lot. He's says they only do it on camera & only for the money. In their private lives they are totally %100 straight. It's all just acting he says.
Straight women doing "lesbian" is one thing. But straight guys doing gay. Is this possible?

That's very interesting. I know gay porn pays better for men - but do you really think these guys are straight not bi?
Are you one of these people who thinks you are either straight or gay & that bisexuality is some kind of "state of non-being"?

Psychologically men and women are remarkably alike in some ways and very dissimilar in others.
I can understand that from the view point of a gay man watching a gay hadrcore video the notion, or indeed the knowledge that these are straight men pretending to be gay to the extent that they are actually fucking each other could be a huge extra turn-on. Gay men seem to adore the idea of straight guys going gay-for-a-day, gay-for-pay. It probably helps affirm their belief that straight men would enjoy gay sex if they were only willing to give it a go.

Conversely however, as you may well already be aware, for a gay woman watching a girl-on-girl "lesbian" video the notion that these are straight women pretending to be lesbians is very unlikely to be a turn-on, in fact the exact opposite. Her negative reaction is also likely to be further exacerbated by the knowledge that these are "straight" women pretending to be lesbians for the entertainment of straight men & that her desires haven't even been considered.
If some guy suddenly turns up half way through proceedings & joins in her negative perception is completely confirmed. Hence many lesbians express a preference for gay male porn over girl/girl, primarily because they perceive it as more genuine- actually gay - not fake gay. You Jasun are saying that it's not - at least not in many cases.

I don't really get it myself and haven't really analyzed it. Really... porn is a job... and if that's what you want to do.. you do your job. there are performers who will or will not do some things, but many of them have their market and just do what their audience wants them to do.

Although the trend for the past while has been straight guys going gay for pay or stragiht guys jacking off.. that's getting really tired, and gay guys are starting to get more into gay guys who are actually gay again... so that's good.

However, you touch on an issue we deal with here a lot. We talk about "Gay Is Not a Niche" very often. Porn made for Stragiht men isn't really transferable to gay people... the "lesbian" porn made for straight men is seldom a turn on for actual lesbians, and although we've had a few people suggest that to make gay porn, you jut "substitute" men for the women's roles, nothing could be further from the truth.

Re: my opinion well it's a humble one as I am new to this. But this week I've been answering phone calls for a friend who shoots content.
