What Video format do you prefer?

I've seen many sites doing mpeg clips for their TGP posting, and then when you get to the site, they've got WMV files.

Oi.. I'm raelly not too fond of WMV files.. you can't jog through them, they're slow, they freeze up a lot, you can't freeze frame...

What format of digital video do you use and why?

Im a big fan of Mpeg and WMV formats.

For all of our sites we offer wmv, rm and mpeg formats for every single one of our original videos.

the wmv and rm also come in in a broadband (streaming) and dialup (download) version.

Imo, .wmv's are the best... compact, decent quality and becoming universally accepted.

Real Player (.rm's) quality is REALLY good now and has smaller file sizes than .wmv's.

I also like Flash movies. I use FlixPro to encode movies for some of my tours.

Real Player is pretty good IMHO though it can be pretty annoying. I actually like Quicktime too, usually pretty fast to load.

almost anything but real player LOL

    I hate their products.

yes they do have great features, but all the things I didn't ask to be installed piss me off. getting their stuff off your pc once its installed is a job in itself!!

I like anything that plays in windows media or quicktime, because i know it will most likely work ...
