    forwarding with .htaccess

    i lost the code for it

    i want to forward users when they land on a certain page to another page, or if i removed the page instead of showing 404 to take them to the right one

    Add the following meta tag to your old page name and put the URL you want it to go to.

    meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; url=YOUR URL HERE"

    You've gotta put the < and > around it, but I had to take them out cuz the page kept reloading. LOL

    I don't know that I would use the javascript to redirect things. Search engines tend to think that your trying to pull something.
    You'll get more with a kind word and a 2 by 4 then you'll get with just a kind word.

    There are also a couple of tutorials in that section of the community forums, do a search for 'htaccess' and you should find a few different options that will assist you with this
