Ya know.... I been thinking about gmail since its inception. And still agree its a fantastic concept, however I have 9 invites and just cannot get rid of them.

It seems that a year ago when it first kinda came online - the "thing" was to have a gmail account - now its troublesome and annoying.

So like TakemyTaco - if anyone wants an invite - I have several spare But ask TmT first Don't wanna rain on no parade *breaks out in song*

    Cheers

    basschick,

Gmail is a web based email program initiated by Google. It provides 1GB of storage and uses threads to store emails. Thus it's entirely searchable.

The storage is nice and at the moment the only way to get one is by invitation.

    Hope that clarifies.

PS: Sorry if this is considered spamming So not the intention.

    Take care

    Sean

thanks for the info. a gig is nice, but my yahoo mail gives me 100 mg, which is enough, and is also fully searchable.

How sex in the city. Big boxes, and invite only. :specs:

I looked at them once, but then i figured I have enough email address. Is it really something like wow?

I guess i'm in the same boat as basschick.
You'll get more with a kind word and a 2 by 4 then you'll get with just a kind word.

I love gmail. It's better than Hotmail, I get little to no spam. And it's faster than Yahoo. It's intuitive and bullshit free.

I would be lost without it.

Whether you do or dont have a GMail account the one thing you have to applaud Google for are their marketing skills.

By making the system 'invite only' it automatically puts a certain level of 'exclusivity' on the mail service and whilst, in reality, anyone can pretty much join Gmail, the perception is wht thy are successfully marketing here and, from what i have seen on other boards, it is viral marketing that is working extremely well

    Lee
