5 Fucking Days.....

That's how long it took my goddamn cable company to find and fix my "fault".

They replaced the cable junction box outside my house on Saturday. They said that would fix the "fault".

I said it wasn't a fault, it was fucked.

Monday they replaced the cable modem and said that would fix the fault.

I said it wasn't a fault, it was fucked.

So today they replaced the entire cabling from the pole outside to the back of the modem.

The tech told me it was all "fucked up".

Well, I had told them it wasn't a fault, it was fucked.

So I have net back, a complete new cable set up, and I have a month credit on the account.

What's the bet it "fucks up" again, and soon?

For those waiting for responses and stuff from me, give me a day or 2 to get my shit back together please.

I learnt my lesson with Telstra the HARD way a LONG time ago.

Been ABT on net connections for the past 3 or so years....

ABT = ANYONE but Telstra.

Telstra does SUCK! Took them two weeks to fix a fault in my line. I've had TPG for the last year and they're great ( unlimited fixed price ADSL ).. but you know all lines in Australia are supposedly leased through Telstra anyway.

Sometimes I feel we are living in a 3rd world when it comes to our telephone / internet / power infrastructure. Actually, when I visited Panama I found out that 3rd worlds are way more advanced then we are

LOL I'm glad you said it instead of me ! ha ha ha

It's the strangest thing having lights on and watching them flicker all the time and having your power go out for no reason, hearing the Water company speaking through their microphone on the street every couple weeks saying the water will be out for a couple hours, and having internet go out for a day for no reason.

All this and living in a damn expensive area @ a couple grand a month rent, so I think this is as good as it gets here :high:

None of that's a big deal though, I STILL love Australia!

That pic is almost enough reason for me to go to the gun cupboard and load the 3030 with some nice soft tips.

Koalas move slower and are therefore MUCH easier to nail than Kangaroos, Emus or Wombats.

All I can say when it comes to Telstra is don't ever try and relocate your premises and keep the same numbers LOL.

Oh and the other thing koalas have claws, they scratch and I second toyboy it's enough to make me go to the gun cupboard

oh and TPG is notorious for virus infections
