Hello gay webmasters out there...

I am a returning gay webmaster who's checking out the possibilities of making money in this (gay adult internet) business these days. It's been 2 years since I was involved adult internet.

My method before was to build TGP gallery pages and then direct visitors to my AVS sites like **** and SexKey. I got a lot of my traffic from TGPs like theHUN, ButtBuddies, etc. and did fairly well for a couple of years.

Over time I was driven out of business by escalating bandwidth charges and dwindling avs sign-ups. I got tired of working harder just to make less, so I shut down all the sex sites I was running.

I'm sure this story is nothing new to you all. I'm just wondering maybe you guys have come up with a few new ideas since I left off. I've found members of this community are really great people who are always looking for creative ways to make more money.

I recently took advantage of a deal for unlimited adult bandwidth for one year for $15. I figured, what have I got to lose? So now I'm interested in taking this new opportunity to a rewarding place.

I've got tons of legal content to use again, although a lot of it has probably been overused. Yet I've heard it said that good porn is timeless and sex sells.

Any suggestions offered are greatly appreciated.

SexSells... as far as your questions go I still think there's money in gettin traffic to AENs and doin what you're doin with the traffic going to membership sponsor sites as well. Just gotta find the ones that haven't already saturated the market. Newer sponsors, more unique sponsors, smaller programs that have original and unseen content. Contact the webmasters and ask them for content and the like, rather than relying only on the hosted galleries bigger programs make available to any and everyone.

Even with TGPs not having the greatest ratios and AENs not converting as well for ya as they did before, hot original content still sells.

You know I went to *******.com today and they didn't say anything about ******* , ******* or Lee. I think Lee could have dealt with *******, *******, *******, *******, *******, *******, ******* and ******* differently. After all the guys at ******* are great people, so Lee and them don't get along, big deal. We should all work togeter.

So to date, the following companies and people are banned right? *******, ******* , *******, ******* , *******, ******* ,*******, ******* ,*******, ******* and *******? Correct me if I'm wrong on this. I've seen ******* , *******, ******* & ******* posting on other boards and they don't even mentioned being banned here.

Does the board automatically put *** next to the name of someone that is banned, or that Lee decides to censor?

Why not do what you were doing last time? Since you have experience in TGP, etc. then use those skills and make some of those sites that will drive traffic to a pay site you create with the content you have?

I don't know that much about the part of the industry you're in.. I do pay sites, but BDBionic is in the same area you are.

i never stopped posting galleries to promote avs sites, and paysites, too. works great :-) also i still use content that's been seen around and make money.

the way i see it, no one can give you unlimited bandwidth for $15 - it can't be done. your host has to pay for bandwidth, and galleries certainly can easily go through 750 gig quite easily a month. your host has to pay for that, plus for servers and techs.

Yeah, I thought the same about the bandwidth but this offer seems real. I came across it on EBAY (I don't know if that word is banned) being auctioned by Dan at DATAFORK.NET.

I've been assured that there are no restrictions on content or bandwidth. With all my old listings at TGPs like the Hun it was eating me alive with bandwidth charges. I can get a fresh start with this deal.

You have GOT to be shitting me. You actually believe you bought unlimited bandwidth for an entire year for $15 from an auction on Ebay?

I mean, come on now. You claim that you've done work in this industry before. Surely you can't be THAT gullable?

Take my advice, it may save you a LOT of money in your lifetime: If you actually are that clueless to the ways of the world, you shouldn't be in business, ANY business. You'll remain nothing but a pawn that others will exploit and profit from.

JustMe - i guess it had to be said that way. if the host pays only 5 cents per gig, he will lose hundreds - if not thousands - of dollars on bandwidth alone. posting galleries, not full-time, you will burn 9000 gig a year. the hosts don't get that free. why would they pay hundreds of dollars for the priviledge of hosting your porn?

some people want to believe there is such a thing as a free lunch. paying for something on ebay doesn't make it authentic - i found someone selling stolen content on ebay.

sexsells101 - i think you're missing the point.

since the bandwidth to run your stuff - especially galleries - can cost the host between a few times what you are paying him and thousands of times what you are paying, not counting the host's setup time or support, it is a literally impossible deal. no one can charge less than they pay for something and stay in business.

my business is too valuable for me to risk spending my time and effort building a site, only to have it go down forever. since i thought the same would be true of you, i was offering a caution to help save you problems.

i don't expect the worst from the world - the world treats me pretty fairly. i simply don't expect to get something for free from a business which exists to make money.
