    Cascading Payment Processing... What Order?

Just curious to see how everyone else is currently cascading their declines through the various processors they use?

Right now we're looking at going in this order..

    CCBill
    Epoch
    Merchant Account
    Goodthinxxx

Anyone have a better order to cascade through or, are there any other viable billing options (other than iBill ) we should be considering utilizing for cascading billing?

    Regards,

    Lee

the program i work with cascades epoch to ccbill. ccbill gets much better initial sales, but worse conversions from trials.

but if you have your own merchant account, seems to me that should go first. usually you'll have less scrubbing on it, and also if you're using netbilling, you pay less in fees on those members, too.

There is no set primary, secondary and so on that works "for all" - it all depends on where your traffic is coming from, what kind of traffic, and so on.

We have MASSIVE information about this as our clients have been experimenting with this for 3 years with multiple ways to cascade.

One client works better in one way, while the next works better set up completely different order.

The main thing is that you need to experiment. Set it one way for one week, then the other way the next and so on. Try to be as fair as you can to yourself when looking at the numbers. Did the same affiliate send the same amount of traffic and from the same sources for all the tests... etc etc.

We use Epoch and CCBill, but we're working on adding our own merchant account. Everything is doing well with conversions for our webmasters.

I also agree with what oystein mentioned, what works well for one doesn't always work best for the other.
You'll get more with a kind word and a 2 by 4 then you'll get with just a kind word.

    Greetings:

Lee, I'm with basschick. I'm confused as to why you'd have your own merchant account 3rd down on the list?

Considering you can control the scrubbing of your own account and have significantly lower processing fees, why wouldn't you be making that your first choice?

I'm interested in hearing your rational......
