New Bussines, I need help!

My name is Kevin, I am from St. Louis, Missouri. I am seeking a new career and I think the web is a great place to make money and also a fun place to work. I have no experience working the web for a business but I am interested in making a move to the porn side of it due to the opportunity it provides.

I am a loan officer by trade, I am bored and I need to make a change. I have to do it with care do to me having a family. I thought about retail cause it is easier to get into than the web. So what I am thinking of is marketing a store along with a web site and merchandise to create an identity that can be used nationally as well as world wide on the web.

I am not sure as to how to accomplish all of this but I am seeking assistance and would appreciate any help I can get. I want to dive in headfirst and build a team of advisors and possible bring them on as partners to create a serious empire.

My strengths are in management, sales, marketing, operations and human recourses. I need people that are non judgmental and who can bring something that I don’t have to the table sort of like a think tank. I seek this advice very humbly and thank you in advance for any support.

Hey welcome to a truly friendly place.

I'd suggest that you first off read up the various tutorials that you can find here, then start off with something simple and easy to get your feet wet with.

I'd also caution that this isn't an easy business, that it takes a great deal of work, effort, and time. No get rich quick formula exists, that really is just hype.

I'd also not rush into partners without getting good legal advice and agreements in place. And as this is a constantly evolving business i'd also look carefully at your entry point and choose one that you are familiar with or enjoy yourself.

A great wealth of knowledge exists amongst the contributors on this board and I'm sure no matter what the question someone should be able to help. I second what Ian said in that you should pick something you like and get your feet wet, this will help you to understand the industry much better.

my experience is that the web is not an easy place to make a living any longer. still, it's worth looking into. why not read the articles and tutorials at those sites, then come back and ask us some questions?

Welcome! And you've already gotten great advice. All I will add is RUN from retail. Any time you have to have the doors open at x AM ready to Serve what ever walks on in, you start with a negitive.

Could just be I have only failed in a retail venture and it sours my opinions .

Seriously, welcome and I also suggest you read up on things, then when you have specific questions post them and I am sure you will get lots of answers.
