    Isn't it ironic ...

That pornographers have such rigid spam filters that they filter out most of the good e-mail. I know that we all get a lot of spam, but come one people, did we sort of create this mess to begin with?

this is quite interesting, I have the ability to use spam filters on the servers and I gave it a try with a couple of clients who were keen a while ago, but those filters ended up getting rid of a lot of legit emails too. Now, I always suggest anyone with an adult website should not use server-based filters and instead should use local pc-based filtering.

Outlook 2003 does a great job of filtering, only the occasional one gets through, but it does take "training" the program to make sure the legit emails make it through. The good thing is cuz its done locally you can go through all your junk emails before you trash them. I tend to do that once a day and it works for me!

And personally I did not create the spam mess, if I did I think I would be rather rich by now....which sadly I am not!!!

    cheers,
    Luke

    I use thunderbird
    from the same firefox people.

    http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/

    From their website
"Smartest Way to Stop Junk Mail
Thunderbird provides the most effective tools for detecting junk mail. Our tools analyze your e-mail and identify those that are most likely to be junk. You can automatically have your junk mail deleted or you can put it in a folder you specify, just in case you like reading junk mail."

I remember when I was working for... um.. a company that shall not be named, and I was wondering why none of my messages to Yahoo Groups were coming through until I realized that I had been filtering out my own messaages.

And when I was sending my friends email, their company filters would bounce my messages back.

And most of them couldn't even look at http://www.jasunmark.com even though it has no porn on it at all because it was grouped with gayskin.net
