How much do you pay your models?

I need a little help. My friend wants to model and I want to pay more than normal. He has done it before so he is perfect. What do you pay your models?

Mark, I’ve seen online models from $100 to $800, and I’ve seen video stars that where from $500 to $2000.

MANcheck's paid models from $300 to $500.
When I scouted escorts and porn stars a couple of years ago, it seemed like a lot wanted $500 for a solo pose or jerk off and $1000 if there was sex with another man. Some of the bigger names wanted $1500 to $2000. Everybody wanted travel expenses covered. A lot of escorts didn't want to do porn, or would only do it if we didn't photograph their faces.

And believe it or not, I'm kinda shy, so running up to you and saying, "Hey are you that guy from GWW whose name I can't remember and who had the back problems?" well, I would have felt stupid not remembering your name, and what if I had been wrong.

$300, $500, $800 even $2000 - but tell me people, what do Ur models do for such money? Are these photo sets or clips (and how many)? Is it a fetish content, or just a solo material?
I can hire models for $35, where I live, but these are not "top" models.

It's all about location, location, location. For $35 in North America, one might get a handjob in a back alley from a crack whore.

I've seen webmasters here hire designers in Asia to designer entire empires of porn sites for $2,000. The last corporate job I worked on as a designer, I earned $4,500 and all I had to do was produce the HTML pages and SEO it, the copy was written by someone else, the graphics were designed by someone else. I've seen other designers build 3-page tours for people and charge $300. That's insane, if you're living on this side of the ocean and charging that little money, you'll be working too hard. But it's difficult to compete with designers in Asia for whom $300 is whole month's salary.

While we might be getting cheap labour and cheap porn from foreign countries, I think we North Americans are contributing to the decline of our own economies. We want people to continue buying porn, yet by taking our work needs offshore we reduce jobs and incomes here. We want to make $15, $20, $25 and hour, but we want to be able to buy a DVD player at Walmart for $59.

Brego, I think if you try and charge webmasters North American prices for your products which are produced in eastern Europe, some may buy, but many more will simply walk away because they know they can buy stuff cheaper somewhere else. We can buy picture sets of Bulgarian guys from Midnight Digital for $10. Sure they're not exclusive and they'll be everywhere in no time flat, but adult webmasters are some of the cheapest people I know. So many of them want everything given to them, they don't want to pay for products and services, but they'll bitch to high heaven when the quality is bad, they want freehosting and free content, and they want to make $30 per sign-up.
