i didn't make this page, and i feel that the guy is cropped really weird, nor do i like the arm holding the money - and i think the button letters need to be darker.

so - am i being too picky?

Those horizontal button menu things just rub me the wrong way. For some reason they just look awkward to me. I can't even pin the specifics so much as just... i dunno... look wierd to me.


BTW... it's your site. so long as you're not bein impractical and unrealistic (i.e. "I want sparkly little lights to follow around the mouse cursor wherever it goes" or "I want there to be a script that automatically turns on someone's printer and starts printing green dollar bills whenever they visit the site like a cash machine... can you do that with Flash? I want Flash" or somethin like that) then ya can't be too picky.
You gotta be happy with your own site, you're not a novice to the industry and know what works for ya, so if ya don't like it... make em change it. hehe.

BDBionic - imo the buttons are weird because the text is too light and thin.

i have recently had a designer say i was "picky", and i guess it made me paranoid. the designs i work with designers on sell like crazy, so i should just keep being picky - if i am.

Hi basschick the site looks reasonable, but the thing that strikes me as strange is that the muscle in the musclebucks logo in the corner just seems to fade in to insignificance. I think it needs to stand out more than the "converting muscles to cash" promo statement.

And yes the horizontal navbar needs work, it seems like a theatre curtain style design and the button names seem to be insignificant.

Oh and just remember my slogan - whomever pays the bills has the final say! and any designer that tells you that you are too picky is just lazy and trying to avoid work - change designers if this is the case!

I'm not keen on this either Patti ... agree the grey nav text needs to be a little darker and thicker font for starters. I think there's too much seperation in the 2 top designs for another. It's almost like you have 2 seperate logos here.

Left side with the back of the guy image needs hit with a bit of "darken" and/or up the "contrast" in their graphics program to give it more punch perhaps.... just looks "flat" in the colors to me.
