Programming work

Having spent the last 20 years toiling away in an office, and surfing porn (probably most of your sites) in the evening, I want to combine the two. But before jumping in to setting up my own empire, I was wondering if there are resource areas where I could find ad hoc or contracted work for people in the industry...are there sites or providers that are used to source people in this way for the adult industry ?

Highly skilled in all Java technology, J2EE/JSP/J2ME as well as ASP/VB and any back-end SQL system. PhP is definately flavour of the month so I am starting to look into this area, the transition between OO flavours is normally fairly painless.......

sounds like you have perfect programming skills for the corporate environment! The adult sector is focused highly on mysql / php and linux based scripts (cgi, a bit of perl too), not so much asp/vb. But I am sure it will take you no time to skill up on php. I have bookmarked this thread and will give you a shout if I find anything for you.

Java took me about 2 months to get under my belt, so after a bit of hair pulling im sure i can get PhP tamed. :nerd:

php is not flavor of the month in adult webmastering - it's been flavor of the year 2004 and 2005 so far, with a lot of it popping up in 2003. any programmer today who wants to work in adult needs to really know their php.
