    How to save AVS

What changes would you like to see made to the AVS - AEN model to make it thrive?

    1) I personally like the newer movie AEN model. It's a heck of a lot easier updating a few mega movie sites than creating new regular AVS sites everday so you can capture the 'new listing' traffic. So, how about some of the older AVS's expanding into the AEN territory?? Are you listening Mancheck, U*GAS, Global Male Pass, Mansites, etc.?

    2) Dump crap templated sites. I think templated AVS sites can be done very well (just look at D-bear's sites). But there are so many JUNKIE looking sites submitted everyday. Does anyone think that these sites are adding value to the AVS system??

    3) Is it possible to limit tired old content from the system? No knocks against Ounique (they have great stuff) but there are so many sets that have been used 50,000 times. Do the surfers really want to see those again. Btw, I was visiting the message board at justusboys.com the other day and some posters were talking some model from a really old Ounique set... and to them, it was new. So maybe there is room for recycled content.

    4) What about the problem of public domain content? I don't use the stuff myself, but as a surfer I love it. I'm afraid that if AVS's decided to crack down, that the members would leave in droves. Plain and simple, is there enough legal content to keep hungry surfers satisfied?

I think changes will be done soon, because the system hasn't changed that much in last few years...

Regarding content... I said this once... RandyBlue has so many of it's models laying around for months, I've seen those gazillion times and am just plain sick of it... but obviously people still join and they have great conversitions...

What I hate th most when I come to any site is if they have one model posing on 150 photos and that's about it... but that's the way it is lately...

i would have to see the new "movie aen" model take over 'cause you can only use their content. it doesn't allow for all the fresh, original niches that are how i make my living. it also doesn't allow for exclusive content, which some aen site owners shoot.

some of these companies have 700 videos, probably around 2800 scenes, but 700 videos won't be enough to have stuff like "sexy women showing their fingernails" or grandpas or guys with small cocks. they won't have a single interesting softcore video except for amateur guys jacking off.

i hope that there is no uniform, standard type of aen ever - or for many years to come.

That's not completely true basschick. As far as I know the only Movie AEN that limits your content is PornAccess.com. I use DeluxePass and they have no problem with me using content licensed from elsewhere.

Also Proadult and Adultbouncer/Gaybouncer don't forbid content from elsewhere. I think they even allow pic sites.

there is no such thing as adult public domain content that you can use. if you use the content without knowing who the custodian is, you're in violation of the law.

and i make great sales and rebills with ounique, pixmaster, and maxpixels content. not everyone has seen it, you know - but i couldn't use on on most of the video aens. adultbouncer and the other programs i have seen of that type only allow their own stuff unless you shoot the content, and then it's a big process.

i wouldn't know about deluxepass. i signed up, was never able to log in, and no one ever helped me, so i moved on.

i guess my big question is why you think aen's need saving. i use the types that work great for me, and you use the types that work great for you. having both types allows us both to make our money

Where did I ever say anything about me using public domain?!?!

    I said, and I quote
I use DeluxePass and they have no problem with me using content licensed from elsewhere.

Please be more careful when calling someone integrity into question.

Oh... you must have been talking about the "public domain" comment in the original post. Again, I don't use it... I just like to look at as a surfer. I imagine if I like to see it, so do others.

Well, there is the perception of webmasters (especially non-avs webmaster) that traditional AVS is dead. Maybe AVS doesn't need to be saved, but their reputation with webmasters needs to polished. Lol, I still make money and my checks get bigger every month. Infact, I quit my day job 3 weeks ago so I could do adult full-time and AVS makes up 90% of my income. Note to self... diversify!

I was just checking Alexa stats for the past 2 years... yeah, I don't trust them either, but what other benchmark is a guy gonna use?
C*yberage, Adult Check, U*GAS, GlobalMalePass, Proadult, Adult Bouncer and Netverifier have all suffered major declines in traffic volume. Mancheck and Deluxepass have maintained their traffic. PornAcsess is the only one that has an upward traffic trend, but their program isn't even 2 years old.

well, it won't hurt people who are selling memberships to the avs's much even if their traffic is down. and i know a bunch of avs boards who only use the traditional style avs, and are very happy with that model. some are buying houses with the money they are making from the old style avs's.

i think the reputation of a program or business model varies from group to group... the avs pros i know like the old style ones i like, the byot type webmasters prefer the adultbouncer model.

I think the subject line "How to save AVS" is throwing people.

I think more generally, if you hand total control to do whatever you could with an AVS/AEN, what things would you change? How would you make them better?

i'd get rid of the really bad standard sites that are really nothing but banner farms. also no more sites that use a category that doesn't apply - no more 30 year old twinks or almost totally non hairy bears.

I don't have too much to say as regarding the AVS especially ManCheck as I can only praise them, extremly helpful, nice and taking care of their webmasters... and PAY ON TIME!!

As for the model of AVS... I think it should not be changed much, afterall it's always the user that determines the content... if they want only pics .. well ok... if they want streaming movies... we'll give 'em that...

It is true, there are many many crappy sites on all AVS, but as long as they sell their niche ... I guess it's ok... afterall it's the Tour of the AVS that determines whether I buy subscription or not...

And the most important thing for me is: Can the site that AVS upsells (Plus, Gold...) keep customers recurring?

Well, to grab onto D-bear's and basschick's most recent posts...

I agree with basschick about listing sites in the right niche. But how about the AVS's updating their list of niches. U*GAS doesn't even have 'mature/older men' as a niche. Mancheck has 'daddies' which is close enough. Both U*GAS and Mancheck should add 'bareback'.

What other niches would you like to see added to their site lists?
