We're Leaving The Adult Business

At some point in the next 5 years however, i wondered how many of you folks had 'exit strategies' in place for leaving the adult industry? Have you even thought about it?

I know as a company we have slowly been branching out into non adult for a year or so now and we're about to be bringing some non-adult things in to the adult side of our business and, at the same time, we're taking some of the concepts we hav had success with in adult to the mainstream side of the web which, if implemented properly, will enable us to have the 5 year exit from adult.

So have you thought about your exit plan for when you decide to leave the adult side of the web or do you think youll always work adult?

You better be playing with me! I'll probably be out in 5 years also. Adult and Web Design has mainly been supplementary income for me and my payrates at my normal job are increasing rapidly so in 5 years I definitely won't need the supplementary income anyway.

I'm slowly starting my exit stratagy as well, I won't say that I will ever be 100% out but I'm working on making my involvement on a day to day basis less and less.

Kinda funny. Our adult business was a backup exit strategy for a business we had started as an exit since our other 2 businesses were starting to die.

I never want to leave the adult industry, because I really enjoy what it is that I do more than anything I've ever done.

I love the editing that I do, and although people always ask me ifI want to branch into "Legitimate" editing, I have to say "no".

I love making videos that make bodies look good, and putting together shots.. narrative is less important to me than composition.

So...there you go.

My exit strategy is to start investing in Real Estate. I refinanced my house and I'm now shopping for a two unit building.

Averaged over the past 4 years, I made more in equity from the one house than I did working. With two buildings, I should be able to refi both in two years to buy a third, and so it goes.

BTW Godfather II and III was about the Corleone family going legit. It could happen.

Yep we're in the same boat.

In the last 5 years the cost of our house (if it went on the market) has almost tripled what it was purchased for

I've started a tax-exempt corporation a few months ago to help the poor in the Philippines. When I was there last I was deeply saddened by their condition. I've been shopping my butt off every week and sending supplies to a friend I have there, and he disperses them among the needy in the barrios of Angeles City. Since U.S. Clark Air force base closed down there a few years back, people in that region have become desperately impoverished. So I'd put 100% effort into that, hire a grant writer to get government and private grants and expand services overseas.

In the states I want to start a non-profit that creates Gay safe houses nationwide for GLBT people in need of a place to stay to get back on their feet.
