I just got it.

Today.

i'm as happy as a pig in shit.

Now, it's not like my last bike wasn't good enough, it's just that my last bike wasn't really what I needed to get around in the streets of LA.

And besides, I really wanted this one (it's a Buell Lightning 1200) for ages, and I now have it.

I'll tell you, there's a break in period for motorcycles that you have to follow... you have to stay below 2500 revs and 35 MPH for the first 50 miles, then below 3500 revs and 55 MPH for the next 450 miles... and it's really hard not to just grab a handful and see where it takes me... but I can show some restraint for... a bit.

But man.. it's realy cool to have a new bike. and I bought a new helmet, too, so I get that lovely new car smell.

OH, and I should point out that although my cell phone camera is glorious and portable and convienient, it made my cobalt blue and amber bike look purple and gold.

And me very pink.

But it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever owned. It's also the most expensive. But it's worth it. I'm giddy.

Acutally, you are right Xstr8guy. Jasun is nicely small and built with lots of muscles. You should see those pythons, woof. But the jacket makes him look a little bulky in the pic, as leather jackets can do in cell phone photos.

You should see how giddy he was after riding around last night. He was positively glowing. Shame he had to come home to me being a neurotic ball of nerves. (don't ask)

It's worse, actually.

I'm 5'7" and 185. I'm kinda like a really small bull. And the funny thing is that that bike is quite large, but that photo was taken from such an angle that it makes it look very small and me very big.

Don and I will take better ones later, but I'm having too much fun riding it right now.
