The FIRST thing you need to decide is what SIZE you want the video to be in (I'm talking about frame size). 320x240 (the most common)..or BIG like 640x480.
Then you need to decide that FORMAT (mpeg, wmv, rm, mov, etc)
Once you have that, you are now ready to encode (meaning to CONVERT to a 320x240 mpeg for example) video clip.
You'll also need to decide on how long you want each clip to run..and sometimes the SIZE of the video file comes into play here because the LONGER a file plays, the BIGGER it will be. The format size of 640x480 will give you a bigger file size too than a 320x240 format size.
