    Need help in San Diego

You would think you could find good people to work in this industry in San Diego. Maybe instead of www.yourhouseboy they should have www.yourofficeboy.

We are looking for one or two people to help with basic day to day web work. If anyone is interested in 20 to 40 hours a week working on sites, adding content, encoding videos, and working with adult gay content 85% of the day please drop me a note.

We offer free Valet parking (no..really we do)
    In the heart of Hillcrest
Men's Spa membership (ok..so it's Club San Diego)
And $10 to $15 an hour

We just need people that can use HTML (dreamweaver or frontpage)
    Photoshop
    And our own DRM system
There will also be some basic calls from customers on technical issues so a good phone voice would be great. And no..."what are you wearing" is not a good way to answer the phone <smile> But you can ask them how big their hard drive is.

Okay..so I wanted to say...webmaster looking for web boy but that just wouldn't sound right...MMmmm... or would it?

We are a 7+ year old company that does a mixture of hosting, DRM encoding, and PPV solutions. Now we need some extra bodies to help us so I can get out more and not look like my advatar.

It's a great long term position...if you enjoy learning and working with content.

You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?

Now see, If I was living in San Diego I'd definitely be up for it but I'm kinda a little far away at the moment.

I'm sure someone will hit you up - the package sounds great.

    Cheers,

    Allan

Welcome from a fellow San Diegan. Wish I could help you but I don't know diddley about HTML and all that, yet. Also I'm a girl.

God luck in your search though.

Heck if I lived in say Texas or Ohio and saw this offer and knew all the stuff you are talking about, I'd relocate in a second. :honest: (hint hint Steve & Bec)

After all San DIego is Americas most beautiful city!

If you haven't already posted at Craigslist San Diego in the "Help Wanted" section, I would highly recommend it. We've had excellent success hiring people from Craigslist San Francisco and although San Diego craigslist isn't as developed as San Francisco, I've still heard of people having good success with it.

I'll echo that advice. We also have found some great people through Craigslist. Seems it's a popular place for web-folk to check out what job opps. are around. While you're there, you can also check out the m4m sections, which are always good for some quality entertainment.

    Sunny and warm

I think Bec should move to San Diego!

Although "women in gay content" was a hot topic in Phoenix I just LOVE her designs!

    I've posted on criag's list...thanks...great idea.

    help found

    Well...the search is over!
    A straight boy was found..

    But it was strange.
We got the most reply from http://www.craigslist.org/ .
We tried Job Summit, local gay papers, ***********...I almost had to where a shirt and walk the street.. "Want to watch free porn???". Goodness that wouldn't have looked good! Even in Hillcrest (San Diego).

We had a lot of straight women apply.
And thought I agree with some other folks that straight women are sometimes better then the queer quys when it comes to gay content.

But in the end someone that had more PHP/.NET/Linux/Firewall/and also can do HTML code from a basic text editor won out.

We even had an extra two "in the wings" in case we couldn't convince a computer geek that porn is okay. Imagine...we had worries. <smile>

Thank you all for your input!

    Steven

MMmmm - now that sounds like a wonderful idea ... if I could afford to live there! Pretty pricey from what I've heard as I do have a few lesbian friends that live out that way. And thanks for the lovely compliment on my work!
