affiliate program help and advice

Now that the disclaimer is complete, I am setting up an affiliate program for a few of my sites.

We will be billing through ccbill, so that part of the problem is managed....

For those of you who make your money on affilate programs, or those of you who know how to run them....what do affilates need from their sponsors?

I know hosted galleries are good (do I need software to generate the galleries with your userid attached, or can you do that yourself?)

I know you need banners, that part is easy...

I know you like content, but what kind of content do you want? In what formats? What makes your life so easy that you will work hard to push the site?

Finally, what kind of split makes it worth your while to mess with?

I am doing this from the ground up, starting Monday, and I would like to build it right the first time....

The most important thing for me is a unique high quality site. I won't promote cookie cutter crap with members areas full of leased content. If I like a site well enough, I don't need a lot of bells and whistles to make sales.

If a site is borderline... then I need lots of extra stuff, especially FHG's, for me to be interested. I want the FHG's to be as easy as possible to plug into my fake TGP (descriptions, pic/movie counts, etc). Check out how CuriousCash does it for a good example.

In all honesty the one thing that i look for more than anything else is on time payouts, you are using CCBill to do your processing so, as far as *I* would be concerned that would be more than enough to justify me joining your program once it goes live.

of course a good selection of promo materials and some free content would be good to sweeten the deal too
