You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?
What Are The Differences Between 'Mainstream' and 'Non-Adult'?
Just curious to see what the main differences (in your opinion) between 'mainstream' and 'non-adult' are?
By that i mean, in the adult industry, we tend to think of everything other than 'porn' as 'mainstream' whilst, in the 'non-adult' world webmasters tend to think of themselves as 'webmasters' and nothing more.
Do you think there is a difference between marketing products in 'mainstream' and 'non-adult' and, more importantly, do you think any potential differences are visible to surfers or webmasters that arent part of the 'porn' business?
Your thoughts on this?
Regards,
Lee

No. Marketing your sites all utilize similar methods. Just because it is adult, as opposed to non-adult - it doesn't matter. You still need to find your target market. Get their attention. Inspire the sale. Customer Service. Follow up. Etc.

Shouldn't we be classified as a minority and get some free gov't money?

No, it is all about marketing as stated. In the mainstream market, you could spends millions targeting the wrong market - although for some reason, I do see the targets in the adult industry a lot more blatant (i.e. a girl coming into a M4M room telling the guys - Come see me naked!) - never have understood that one
